Mobile firm joins Euro football sponsorship deal
Mobile phone operator T-Mobile will be one of the official sponsors of next year’s Euro 2004 football tournament, it was reported today.
Trade magazine Marketing said the company was paying around £12m (€16.9m) to link its name with the competition in Portugal.
The list of corporate “partners” for Euro 2004 already includes Canon, Carlsberg, Coca-Cola, Hyundai, JVC, Mastercard, and McDonald’s.
A T-Mobile spokesman said: “We have nothing to announce at the moment – any stories are speculation.”
