Newcastle reveal record profits

Newcastle United plc today announced record operating profit in the year ending July 31 2003 of £27.6m (€38.9m).

The figure, which is before player trading and amortisation are taken into account, has been boosted by the club’s excellent run to the second group phase of the Champions League last season.
