The retail group will use Trintech's PayWare EPS product to implement an electronic gift card solution that eliminates costly paper gift certificates.

The PayWare solution allows gift cards to be issued at the point of sale, through vending machines or over the internet.

Marsh who operate 120 supermarkets in the American mid-west as well as a significant number of franchises employ approximately 16,000 people through its different divisions.

According to Don E. Marsh, chairman and CEO at Marsh Supermarkets: "By implementing Trintech's PayWare EPS, we can deliver electronic gift cards to our customers that does away with paper vouchers that are difficult and expensive to handle."

Tom Trainor, European Vice-President sales at Trintech said: "By using PayWare EPS as an in-house solution, Marsh can control valuable customer information as well as reducing their costs and increasing their revenue from improved efficiencies and greater customer convenience."
