Interbrew has agreed to buy the Munich-based brewers of Germany's Lowenbrau brand in a deal worth €464m.

Interbrew has agreed to buy the Munich-based brewers of Germany's Lowenbrau brand in a deal worth €464m.

The purchase means that Belgium based Interbrew would push past Holsten as the biggest brewer in Germany's troubled beer market with share of around 11%.
