Ryanair hits passenger record

Ryanair's Head of Communications, Paul Fitzsimmons said that the airline has had record passenger traffic on 55 out of 125 routes for July.

These figures include their Irish routes.

He also said that Ryanair is the first low-fares airline outside the US to carry more than one million passengers in a month, and has carried in total to date over 65 million passengers.

This year the airline will carry almost 24 million passengers across 16 countries.
