Eircom financial dividends questioned by Greens

The Green Party is describing todays reports that the company which took over from eircom is to receive nearly €500,000 in dividends as a further insult to misled investors.

Finance spokesperson Dan Boyle maintains news that the Valentia Consortium have recouped 50% of their investment after just 18 months, serves to highlight the losses of original eircom shareholders.

Deputy Boyle says this must place a serious question mark over any proposal to privatise any other semi-state enterprise.
