North's businesses want euro membership
More than 60% of businesses in the North are in favour of joining the eurozone, according to a survey conducted by PriceWaterhouse Coopers.
The research found that 63% of businessmen would vote in favour of the single European currency if the British government called a referendum in the near future.
24% were totally opposed to the euro and 13% were undecided.
The British government is discussing the possibility of calling a referendum on euro membership.
