Aer Arann announces new route plans
Aer Arann has announced plans to begin flights between Dublin and Belfast.
The company said it has yet to finalise details of the plans, including whether to land at Belfast International or City Airport.
The announcement of the new route follows the publication of a report which said a shortage of air links between Ireland's main cities had undermined economic development.
The report said a daily Dublin to Belfast service could attract more than 100,000 passengers each year.
