The New York Times announced today that Richard Wooldridge, president and COO of The International Herald Tribune (IHT), will assume the business leadership of the IHT effective immediately.

The New York Times announced today that Richard Wooldridge, president and COO of The International Herald Tribune (IHT), will assume the business leadership of the IHT effective immediately.

Mr Wooldridge will report to Janet L Robinson, senior vice president of newspaper operations for The New York Times Company and president and general manager of The New York Times newspaper.

In making the announcement, Ms Robinson said: “Richard is a very strong leader with an in-depth knowledge of the international media marketplace.

"Given his extensive experience, first as a journalist and then as an executive, Richard is ideally suited to provide the business leadership of the IHT in the years ahead.”
