Peugeot Citroen sales up 4.3%
Car manufacturer PSA Peugeot Citroen said sales grew by 4.3% in 2002, beating its target of 3,250,000 unit sales, and against a backdrop of a 0.6% decline in the global market.
PSA sold a total of 3,267,000 vehicles last year, with sales of Peugeot branded cars up by 2.9% and sales Citroen vehicles up by 6.3%.
PSA added that it was aiming to sell 3,350,000 vehicles in 2003, despite a European market, which the company forecasts to be flat to down by 2%.
