Belgacom said chief executive officer and president John Goossens died today.
According to the BBC website, Goossens died of a heart attack after complaining of feeling unwell at a company conference for its managers at the Francorchamps in eastern Belgium.
Goossens, aged 57, had been CEO since February 1995.
