Cork company wins points system contract

The Government has announced that a Cork based company has been awarded the contract to process the data arising from the new penalty points system.

The Bandon based SWS Group has won the initial 15-month contract.

They will be responsible for developing a data capture process to enable manually prepared documentation from the Gardaí to be converted into electronic format.

This in turn will be transmitted to the national driver file in Shannon.
