Centrica sells division in €64.4m deal

British Gas group Centrica today struck a £41.1m (€64.4m) deal to sell its gas tanks and cylinders business to Ireland-based firm DCC.

British Gas group Centrica today struck a £41.1m (€64.4m) deal to sell its gas tanks and cylinders business to Ireland-based firm DCC.

The business, which employs around 400 staff in the UK, provides tanks for use to store gas outside customers’ homes and portable gas cylinders for commercial and domestic use.
