Red FM is Cork's top youth station
Red FM - Cork’s newest music radio station has announced that it is number one in the lucrative under-35 market.
The conformation is based on audience listenership figures as compiled by MRBI in the latest Joint National Listenership Research (JNLR) figures released Tuesday 22nd October, 2002.
According to the JNLR figures - which cover the period from April to September this year - RedFM attracted 41% of the target 15-34 year-old market in Cork, making the biggest station for youth audiences. The figures also reveal that RedFM is listened to by 20% of All Adults in the franchise area.
Commenting on RedFM’s JNLR results, RedFM Chief Executive, Henry Condon, said: "Coming hot on the heels of three national radio awards at the weekend, this is hugely exciting news for all of us at RedFM.
"We have been working intensely breakneck speed since we came on the air into a hugely competitive situation nine months ago. Achieving number one status validates all the hard work and exceeds out expectations in this early part of our development."
