Consumer Affairs report: 24 convicted in 2001
The Office of Consumer Affairs has revealed that 24 convictions were enforced last year over retail pricing, detail and correct food labelling.
Cars, holidays and mobile homes are all on the list in the consumer complaints report.
The Director of Consumer Affairs, Carmel Foley, is strongly critical of those who have not adopted the euro code since the currency changeover.
She is worried many retailers are unable to account for price increases.
