Propylon sponsor launch of Irish XML Interest Group

The XML Ireland Special Interest Group will launched on February 6, 2000 at Jury's Hotel, Ballsbridgge, Dublin at 7pm in association with Propylon.

The XML Ireland Special Interest Group will launched on February 6, 2000 at Jury's Hotel, Ballsbridgge, Dublin at 7pm in association with Propylon.

"Propylon is delighted to facilitate the creation of the Irish XML special interest group," said Paul McKeown, CEO Propylon.

"XML has been growing fast in Ireland recently and its great to see a new forum like this," said Peter Flynn, Moderator of the 1st event.

Peter Flynn is editor of the XML FAQ and author of books on XML.

He is manager of the Electronic Publishing Unit at UCC and has also acted as consultant to many companies in Ireland and abroad.

Propylon is a privately funded company headquartered in Dublin with development centres in Sligo.

It develop products for data transformation and pervasive computing.

Its products, including PropelX and MissionControl, are based on industry-standard open architectures, including XML and Java.
