Kane to step down as Eircom Chief Executive

Alfie Kane has announced he will step down as chief executive of the company.

Mr Kane made the announcement this evening, as the new board, headed by Anthony O’Reilly, took control of the company.

He has agreed to continue his role during the transition period, pending the appointment of his successor.
