DCC reports strong half-year results

DCC reported strong results for the half year, with a 19% increase in net profits.

Its energy division did particularly well. In its IT operations, there was an operating profit of €13.2m, which was an increase of 13%.

The company said that SerCom Distribution, had achieved excellent results.

However, SerCom Solutions, which is a supply chain management business, had moved from profit into a €200,000 loss for the half year, as a result of the IT downturn.
