Centrica chief executive and lifelong Manchester United supporter Roy Gardner was today confirmed as the next chairman of the club’s plc board.

Centrica chief executive and lifelong Manchester United supporter Roy Gardner was today confirmed as the next chairman of the club’s plc board.

Mr Gardner had been favourite to land the non-executive role when current incumbent Sir Roland Smith steps down in March after 11 years.
