Moulinex workers march through streets of Paris

Several thousand Moulinex workers marched through the streets of Paris today demanding government intervention to protect their jobs.

The marchers descended on the Prime Minister’s office, where union leaders were holding talks on the future of the company.

Moulinex filed for bankruptcy last month after its main shareholder withdrew its backing for a £220m rescue package.
