Telecoms company WorldCom plans to cut 1,000 jobs in Europe.

Telecoms company WorldCom plans to cut 1,000 jobs in Europe.

The cuts represent around 10% of its workforce.

Spokesman Brad Burns says WorldCom plans to regroup its human resources management activities into a regional base in the UK.
