The Minister for Public Enterprise, Mary O'Rourke, has moved to re-assure Aer Lingus employees that they will be consulted before any final decision is made about the company's future.

The Minister revealed that a report into the future of the airline will be published in the coming weeks and it has not yet been decided whether the company will be floated on the stock market or sold to another company.
