Denmark became the latest Nordic country to experience rising public support for the EU, defying predictions that a UK vote to exit would inspire other eurosceptic corners of the bloc.

According to a Voxmeter poll published by Ritzau, 69% of Danes now back EU membership, up from almost 60% in a poll held prior to the UK vote.

The poll also found that the proportion of respondents wanting a UK-style referendum had fallen to 32% from almost 41%.
