Cool Bean breaks into UK market

Just one year after launching, the Cool Bean Company has placed its products in 200 outlets, writes Trish Dromey. 

With hot chili, with tomato and with smoky paprika, the humble bean is going gourmet and cool, thanks to the efforts of Dublin-based entrepreneurs Sarah O’Connor and Isolde Johnson.

A little over a year after launching their Cool Bean Company products on the market, they are selling in 200 outlets around Ireland and are, this month, sending their first shipment to the UK where their bean pots will find fridge space in 135 Waitrose stores.
