‘X-Men’ role powers hike in Michael Fassbender’s fortune

Kerryman Michael Fassbender’s role as a villain in the latest X-Men movie helped propel accumulated profits at the movie star’s UK firm past the €720,000 mark last year.

According to new accounts filed by Fassbender’s Barrelmaker Productions Ltd with Companies House in the UK, the firm’s accumulated profits increased by 25% from £405,462 to £508,335 (€721,093) in the 12 months to the end of December last.

The returns for Barrelmaker show that cash at the firm jumped last year by over £100,000 from £426,892 to £533,688.
