A group of over 600 Aer Lingus and Dublin Airport Authority pensioners are taking legal action claiming their pension entitlements have been cut under a pension scheme restructuring.

The first test case involving four pensioners from the Irish Airlines General Employees Superannuation Sceme is set to go ahead in the Four Courts in the coming months.

The case was mentioned before the Commercial Court yesterday when Mr Justice Brian McGovern refused to admit the case to the fast-track big business court and said it could be heard elsewhere in the High Court.
