Increased traffic in Irish airspace

The Irish Aviation Authority said that flights in Irish airspace increased in June by 2.4% from a year earlier, with an average of 1,800 flights daily.

The busiest day was June 19 when some 1,975 flights were recorded in the skies above Ireland.

The IAA said flights in the North Atlantic Communications area, which covers flights between Europe and North America, recorded an increase of 3.8% to 42,045 flights in June.
