The world’s leading data insights platform is ramping up its operations across Europe from its EU headquarters in the heart of Dublin following stronger than expected growth over the past 18 months.

Qualtrics to create 100 jobs in Dublin as growth exceeds expectations

Qualtrics, founded in Utah in 2002, is to add a further 100 employees to its workforce bringing the total number of people employed here to 250.

Stronger than expected since establishing its Irish base in September 2013 has led the software-as-a-service company surpass its original expectations and expand its workforce.

“Our experience of doing business in Europe from our Irish base has been phenomenal,” Qualtrics chief executive Ryan Smith said yesterday. “The market response to our technology has been hugely positive and our sales teams are now working with customers in 16 languages across European markets including Ireland and the UK.”

“We’re ahead of our business targets and as a result we’re on track to increase our workforce to 250 by the end of 2016. This is because our insights platform is helping companies to make the right business decisions based on voice of the customer data.”

The Arizona-based firm is among the fastest growing tech companies in the US and recently closed a $150m Series B financing round. Among its clients are Kellogg’s, Stanford University, Yankee Candle and Cisco, who use its software to collect, analyse and base decisions on customer feedback.

The Irish office in St Stephen’s Green became its first overseas branch when it opened in 2013. The company also has bases in Seattle, Dallas and Sydney in addition to its Irish and Arizona operations.

Welcoming the announcement, IDA chief executive Martin Shanahan said: “Ryan has been been hugely complimentary of his staff here in Ireland — he’s spreading the word on why Ireland is a great place to do business. For us in IDA Ireland, the value of endorsements from CEOs like this cannot be overstated.

“Qualtrics choice of Dublin as their European headquarters is yet another top level endorsement from a rapidly growing company on the tech scene.”

Qualtrics is actively recruiting for its sales, support and technical teams as well as graduates from the science, business and mathematics disciplines.
