Limerick brothers Patrick and John Collison are among the 24 finalists announced as part of the 18th annual EY Entrepreneur of the Year awards.

As founders of online payments company Stripe, which is now valued at over $3.5bn (€3.08bn), the Collisons are among Ireland’s brightest and most successful entrepreneurs, with the company having landed major deals with the likes of Apple and Twitter.

The brothers are joined in the international category by former Dragons’ Den star Sean O’Sullivan of SOSVentures and Frank Madden of Crest Solutions.
