New figures show hosting the victorious All-Ireland winning Clare hurlers last year was not enough to prevent the operators of the Clyde Court and the Ballsbridge hotels slipping into the red.

According to accounts filed by Tulane Business Management Ltd, the firm recorded a pre-tax loss of €127,000 after a modest pre-tax profit of €47,000 in 2012.

The 185-bedroom four-star Clyde Court Hotel — formerly the Berkeley Court — and the 392-bedroom Ballsbridge Hotel — formerly Jurys — are operated by the publicly quoted Dalata Group.
