Dublin-headquartered telecoms firm, Viatel is set to invest €125m in new acquisitions and capital expenditure which will be funded by Proventus Capital Partners.

Viatel, which is part of the Digiweb Group, employs 220 people and is one of the largest owners of transcontinental duct and fibre across Europe.

“This is an exciting time for Viatel,” says company CEO Colm Piercy.
