Irish software firm to create 30 jobs ahead of planned expansion into Asia
Fenergo, which works with investment banks and other financial firms, will add more than 20 new positions to its Dublin operation, with the remainder to be filled in the company’s Boston office.
The new roles follow Fenergo’s accelerated market growth in recent months and comes ahead of a planned expansion into the Asia-Pacific market.
The company has also secured deals with several new clients in the last 18 months, including Canada’s Bank of Montreal and Scotiabank.
“Fenergo is really going from strength-to-strength due to our solid market proposition, which focuses on solving the challenges facing investment banks and capital market firms,” said Fenergo chief executive, Marc Murphy.
“We’re looking for bright, enthusiastic people to share our journey with us to design, develop and deliver world-class software solutions,” he added.
Software developers, business analysts and project managers are among the candidates the company are looking to hire.
Last October, Fenergo attracted a €4m investment from Investec Partners and its shareholders, while earlier this year, it opened its North American headquarters in Boston and a sales office in New York.
Meanwhile, 28 new jobs are to be created in Ireland and abroad by six digital media enterprises.
The companies, which currently employ 17 people, have joined the enterprise cluster at Dublin’s Digital Hub in the first six months of the year and aim to add the extra positions as part of their continued expansion.
Commenting on the new companies’ arrival to the centre, Digital Hub client services manager, Ruth Flynn said it reflected the ongoing success of the project.
“There are now almost 900 people working on the Digital Hub’s campus in a variety of highly-skilled roles across a wide range of digital media and technology companies,” said Ms Flynn.
