€500,000 to stimulate aviation start-ups

The Government, via Enterprise Ireland, has launched a €500,000 fund aimed at stimulating start-up growth in the aviation and manufacturing sectors.

“The aviation focus follows on from the Government’s publication of the Shannon Aviation Business Development Taskforce final report and the need to encourage and support entrepreneurship in the aviation sector,” Enterprise Minister Richard Bruton said.

The fund is open to a range of firms and is looking to provide early-stage funding for key commercial and technical milestones that can ensure delivery of young companies’ products or services.
