It was another turbulent day across the eurozone with most European markets closing in the red.

The Iseq Index was no exception falling 58.74 points to 3,907.10.

Banking stocks were weaker overall with AIB dropping 0.5c to 6.6c, Bank of Ireland shedding 1.2c or 7.02% to 15.9c and Permanent TSB Group drifting back 0.1c to 3c. Elsewhere in the financial sector FBD Holdings was 11c weaker at €13.42.

CRH, having significant exposure to the US highway sector shed 31.5c to €15.46 on the day. Meanwhile, Grafton Group gave up 10c to €5.57, with Kingspan losing 19.2c to €9.75.

Other notable movers included drinks company C&C which fell 16.8c to €4.41; Glanbia saw a rise of 8c to €10.09, while Ryanair was down 9.1c at €6.72.
