Farmers back Dairygold expansion

Dairygold shareholders have endorsed the co-op’s post-2015 expansion plan by a margin of 80:20 at two special meetings yesterday.

About 2,000 of the co-op’s 9,000 shareholders attended the joint meetings at the Powder Store in Dairygold’s manufacturing facility in Mallow, Co Cork.

Of the 1,930 who voted on the motion to endorse the co-op’s expansion plan, including its milk supply agreement, 1,539 voted in favour, 378 against, and 13 votes were spoiled.
