Beet Ireland to unveil location for sugar-producing factory
While the group could not confirm the location due to confidentiality clause restrictions, it is believed the site will be in Munster. The site must also be sizeable, as the venture will need a minimum 250 acres.
The site is said to have good water supply, on-site power source, a good road network and comes with industrial planning. The plan is for the €350m operation to be producing sugar by 2016, with good signals of support from the EU.
