Isme calls for Croke Park renegotiation

Isme & has called on the Government to renegotiate the Croke Park agreement in an effort to secure greater cost savings over the coming year by scrapping increments and reducing allowances.

It is one of a raft of measures Isme wants introduced to stoke business activity following the release of its quarterly survey of business trends. The results showed most indicators moving in a positive direction. The survey over the third week in December drew 840 responses.

“The ‘up-and-down’ or ‘zig-zag’ profile of the indicators clearly shows an economy bouncing along the bottom and striving for growth, and a long way from the competitive economy aspired to,” Isme said in a statement.
