Markets lower ahead of US election

US presidential election nerves and investor scepticism about the structural reforms in Greece pushed stockmarkets across the eurozone lower yesterday.

However, the Iseq bucked this trend on 3,353.76 up 40.72 points on the day.

A mixed day for the Irish banks, with AIB adding 0.2c to close at 5.2c while Bank of Ireland lost 0.2c to close on 9.7c. Permanent TSB Group was flat, resting at 2.4c.
