Two Irish companies announce 85 jobs in retail and IT security sectors
The Kilkenny Group announced the creation of 60 new positions in the company that they are aiming to fill by the end of next year.
The jobs will be spread across sales, retail and administration in stores around the country, as well as across Kilkenny Group distribution and online operations.
The group has specialised in supporting the Irish crafts industry for almost 50 years and been instrumental in driving a “buy Irish” mentality amongst consumers.
CEO of the Kilkenny Group, Marian O’Gorman, said if households were to spend just an extra €4 on Irish produce it would result in an extra 6,000 jobs.
“As an Irish company, we are delighted to be creating such levels of employment despite the current retail landscape,” she said. “Irish consumers are recognising the importance of buying Irish and there has never been a greater need to support indigenous businesses.”
In Dublin, Integrity Solutions are adding 25 employees as it grows its Irish and UK operations.
Nineteen jobs will be based in Dublin, with the remaining six in the UK, including positions for country managers for England and Scotland. The company provides IT security solutions and services to private and public sector organisations.
Integrity Solutions will grow its overall employee base by 85% from 30 to 55. Most of the new hires will be highly qualified and experienced IT security specialists who will complement the existing managed security team. Recruitment has begun and some key roles have been filled in recent weeks.
