DCC strengthens energy division with €24.5m takeover of BP operations

DCC has further strengthened its energy division through the €24.5m takeover of BP’s Benelux- based liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) operations.

The Dublin-headquartered diversified support services group has reached agreement with the oil giant to buy BP Gas Nederland BV in Holland, and the Belgium-based smaller BP LPG distribution business. Both companies trade under the Benegas brand.

Completion of the deal is expected before the end of the year, and is conditional on approval from the Dutch Competition Authority.
