Market static after German ruling

Indices across Europe had mixed fortunes yesterday despite the German Constitution Court ruling that the European Stability Mechanism does not contravene the German constitution.

Market static after German ruling

Markets had priced in a ruling of this nature in advance of the announcement and continued to be wary ahead of a US FED commentary expected tomorrow evening. The Iseq Index made a small gain of 0.94 points to finish at 3,250.44.

Irish banks also had varying outcomes during the trading session. AIB was the only stock to see gains, adding 0.3c to 5.5c. Bank of Ireland and Permanent TSB Group were both in the red, both shedding 0.1c to 9.7c and 2.4c. Insurance group FBD Holdings tacked on 1.1c to €9.08.
