Building tender prices up 1%

Building firms are continuing to quote higher prices for large-scale construction jobs, with new data showing a 1% increase in tender prices in the first six months of 2012.

Updated figures from the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland show that the trend of moderate price rises for building projects seen over the past 12 months is steadily continuing.

The latest Tender Price Index from the society also notes a 3% year-on-year rise for the first half of 2012. The 1% increase was measured against the second half of 2011.
