Record numbers are expected to flock to tomorrow’s opening day of the Virginia Show in Co Cavan.

The event will feature 490 classes and over 3,000 exhibits.

While about 18 agricultural shows have fallen victim to the worst Irish summer in living memory, the 71st Virginia Show has seen a 50% increase in most classes.
