Five-star hotel manages to cut pre-tax losses by 90%

Pre-tax losses at the Bill Cullen and Jackie Lavin-owned five-star Muckross Park Hotel in Co Kerry last year declined sharply by 90% to €358,566.

New accounts for Muckross Park Hotel Ltd show that the business reduced its losses after revenues increased by 6.7% from €2.59m to €2.77m in the 12 months to the end of Dec last.

The €3.7m loss in 2010 included a property write-down of €2.6m.
