Market advances on brisk day

The Iseq made gains yesterday, up 21.14 points to close at 3,238.10.

Main movers included DCC which was up 64c to €20.20, Paddy Power which gained 78c to €54.73, and Providence up 56c to €8.26. Tullow Oil advanced 45c to €18.45 on the back of recent drilling successes. Fellow explorer Dragon Oil rose 25c to €7.44.

In the financial sector, AIB and Bank of Ireland were both static at 5c and 10c.
