Markets advance across Europe

Irish shares performed well yesterday, thus following the trend seen across all main European bourses.

The ISEQ index closed up 38.10 points at 3,359.34.

The financials were mixed as AIB and Bank of Ireland made gains. The former was up 0.2c at 10.9c while the latter was 1c or about 7% ahead at 14.5c. Irish Life and Permanent had a bad day, shipping 0.5c to finish at 4.2c.
