Breakingnews.ie in partnership deal

The Washington Post and Breakingnews.ie have announced a content partnership on the Washington Post Social Reader.

The Social Reader is a free application on Facebook that offers a new way to read news — and instantly share articles with the reader’s Facebook friends.

Once readers are using the app, the stories they read are instantly shared with their friends, and their friends’ reads are shared with them, creating a socially powered newswire of articles.

Of the eight million users who have signed on to use the Washington Post Social Reader, more than five million are monthly active users and about 100,000 are from Ireland.

The Social Reader can be downloaded by searching for ‘Social Reader‘ on Facebook.
