NEW dairy products will be developed at a facility to be launched by the Irish Dairy Board (IDB) and Teagasc on Friday.

The Dairy Innovation Centre will be based at Teagasc Moorepark, Fermoy, Co Cork.

The European export market-led initiative will develop a suite of new dairy products ready to be rolled out once the EU abolishes milk quotas in 2015. The centre will also help deliver on the expansion and export ambitions outlined in the Government’s Food Harvest 2020 report.
