DCC executive pay falls despite profit

TOTAL combined pay for executive directors at DCC fell nearly €400,000 last year, despite the support services group’s strong performance.

DCC’s latest annual report shows that the group’s three executive directors — chief executive Tommy Breen, chief financial officer Fergal O’Dwyer and DCC Energy managing director Donal Murphy — received a total combined payout of just over €2.8 million in the 12 months to the end of March, down from the €3.2m paid out to the trio in the previous year.

While Mr Breen’s basic salary of €700,000 was unchanged year-on-year, his bonus fell from the same amount to €434,000, reducing his total package from €1.67m to €1.41m.
