Coole Swan move to benefit farmers

Cavan: Spirits brand Coole Swan has signed an agreement that will see it sold in Tesco outlets here.

The deal also spells good news for dairy farmers in Cavan and the north-east, as the maker of the cream liqueur — the only Irish spirits brand to win the world’s best liqueur award — will likely need to more than double its cream usage in the next 12 months.

The company is also set to create three sales, merchandising and marketing positions.
